Important Information

  • Please arrive on time for school. Nursery morning session starts at 8:45am and finishes at 11:45am. Nursery afternoon session starts at 12:30pm and finishes as 3:30pm.
  • Homework is given out on a Friday and is due back on Wednesdays.
  • Please put your child’s name in their uniform so that we may return lost items and provide suitable school footwear, Velcro, buckles or slip on shoes. Thank you.

Friday 17th November 2017 CHILDREN IN NEED 50p Non-School Uniform day


This term we have been looking at seasons and celebrations, completing lots of creative activities. We also went on our autumn walk, which was amazing and we looked at different features of autumn. 

I am really looking forward to the run up to Christmas. The children will soon be beginning to learn the Christmas play and I am sure you will get to hear a taster of some of the songs in weeks to come!

  • Mathematics

    • Count reliably to 10 forwards and backwards.
    • Order numbers 1-10 forwards and backwards.
    • Can find 1 more and one less practically with objects.
    • Count in 2s.
    • Use number bonds to 5 in practical contexts.
    • Knows that numbers 1-9 are unit numbers.
    • Can say how many altogether or how many are left in a group (single digits).

  • Reading

    • Identify sounds of letters of alphabet.

    • Identify rhymes and alliteration.
    • Join in with rhyming patterns.
    • State simple likes/dislikes about familiar texts.
    • Put the important events of a story in order.
    • Make basic predictions about what will happen next.
    • Understand the terms; book, cover, beginning, middle, end.
  • Writing

    • Begins to form some recognisable letters.
    • Begins to leave spaces between words.
    • Begin to write simple CVC words.
    • Begins to write own name correctly.
    • Begin to use a capital letter when writing their name.
    • Begins to hold their pencil correctly, using a tri pod grip.
